CHAKRAS AND CRYSTALS
Share
Think of the most perfect combinations existent in the world. Chakras and crystals go together like ketchup and mustard, peanut butter and jelly, guacamole and chips, rice and beans, anddd the list goes on. To understand how well they synchronize, we need to first know what chakras are.
WHAT IS A CHAKRA AND WHY DO THEY MATTER?
Chakras are centers or vortices of energy available in our bodies through which they communicate and through which energy flows and is exchanged. The word chakra in Sanskrit means “wheel” which refers to spinning wheels or vortices of energy and light. If one or more of our chakras becomes blocked, energy will not flow well and therefore can trigger a physical, mental, or emotional imbalance which can be manifested through feelings of anxiety, physical or emotional pain, poor digestion, and other negative effects. If we don’t nourish our bodies with the proper nutrients, thoughts, and practices, then our chakra blockages can negatively impact on our day-to-day routine and lives.

SEVEN MAIN CHAKRAS
There are hundreds of chakras located in our bodies - however, we will only focus on our seven main chakras because they are located near our fundamental glands (which are important to the overall function of our organism) and because they also reign our main organs. Each main chakra is associated with a different vibrational frequency and quality of energy on a physical, psychological, and spiritual level.
-
Root Chakra: Symbolized by the color red and located at the base of the spine. Represents stability, security, and our basic needs.
-
Sacral Chakra: Symbolized by the color orange and located in the lower abdomen. Represents our creativity and sexual expression.
-
Solar Plexus Chakra: Symbolized by the color yellow and located in the center of the navel. Represents our source of personal power and vital energy.
-
Heart Chakra: Symbolized by the color green and located at the center of the chest next to the heart. Unites our lower and upper chakras in the center. Represents the bridge between our body, mind, emotions, and spirit.
-
Throat Chakra: Symbolized by the color blue and located in the throat. Represents verbal expression and speaking your truth.
-
Third Eye Chakra: Symbolized by the color indigo and located at the center of the forehead. Represents our center and sense of intuition.
- Crown Chakra: Symbolized by the color purple and located at the top of the head. Represents enlightenment and spiritual connection to our higher selves and realms.

Now imagine being able to not only enhance the frequency of our chakras but to actually change them?! That’d be amazing right? And our fellow crystals are actually great tools to balance and open those chakras by acting as energy channels.
My favorite crystals that match our 7 Chakras list above:

HOW EXACTLY CRYSTALS ENHANCE OUR CHAKRAS?
Crystals are awesome facilitators of energy, aiding in balancing our chakras whenever we feel like there is an energy block. Light and energy flows more easily through crystals than through us, and thus makes them great instruments to reorganize our light and energy. They are capable of filtering, holding, and transforming energy, which makes them great electricity (in other words, energy) and vibration conductors.
Nonetheless, chakra imbalances or blocks can be difficult to detect unless there is an apparent problem or symptom we might be feeling in one area of our body. Awareness of the body and mind and knowing how to read clues are all key in order to understand where certain energy blocks might be coming from. For example, frequent headaches around the forehead indicate a block in the sixth or third-eye chakra, or a frequent sore throat can be a clue to the throat chakra block, or an anguish in your heart and emotional fluctuations will probably indicate an imbalance in your heart chakra.
And yes, we can do our part to actually help elevate our frequency and help balance our chakras! How? By meditating with crystals, placing them on each chakra (body gridding), drinking crystal water, bathing with crystals, “yogaing” with crystals to help relax the mind, conducting breathing exercises (try holding a crystal near your heart), and basically creating little positive rituals in your day, but also incorporating crystals in them to see how you feel. There are little things we can do on our end - however, one thing you should also be aware is that these practices will promote changes only if you are willing to let it happen and ready to embrace them.
BRIEF EXPLANATION ON SOME OF MY FAV CHAKRA STONES:
There are so many combinations of crystals you can use in your chakras which can trigger something different, and that is something that is very particular and individual to each and every one of you so I can never say which one is right or wrong. The best advice I’ve been given which I will always pass on is to listen to your intuition in these situations because it speaks to you and can give you the answers you are looking for.
I hope this will give you some clarity and teach you something about chakras and crystals! Any questions, comments, and love messages are always welcome :)
